About Us
Bakery Story is a family-owned Asian bakery run by Korean Americans, built on sharing comfort, culture, and connection through handmade pastries. What started in our home kitchen has grown into something deeply meaningful, not just to us, but to the community we serve.
Our journey began in 2020 in Chicago, when our main baker and mother, Logie Park, baked scones for the very first time. What started as simple curiosity quickly became something more. Late nights in the kitchen turned into weekends at local markets, sharing what we made with friends, neighbors, and strangers who soon became regulars. When we moved to North Carolina, we had to start over from scratch. It wasn’t easy, but it reminded us why we began in the first place. With just four types of scones, one table, and two chairs, we showed up at the State Farmers Market and slowly began building one customer at a time.
Today, we offer a wide range of savory and sweet pastries, from kimchi croquettes and bulgogi mozzarella buns to cream-filled donuts, fruit cream sandwiches, and ube desserts. We were first introduced to ube by a Filipino friend, and its rich, vibrant flavor quickly became one of our most loved offerings. Along the way, we created our signature item, the Logie Donut, named after our mom and loved by many of our regulars.
Everything we make is from scratch, and as a family, we’re part of every step. More than anything, Bakery Story is about sharing a piece of who we are. Whether you’re trying something new or coming back for a favorite, we hope every visit feels warm, familiar, and personal.
